I used this place because the website said they work on foreign cars, it was closer to my work place, and because of the open communication that is said to take place when they have your car in for service. I didn’t get that open communication. I was charged way more for one air strut replacement that having all of them replaced at the same time. Which was done 2 years ago. I gave them the manual key pulled from the FOB and they placed it back in and jammed it up. Mind you I understand the button is missing but I take a small pin slide it over and it releases just fine. My car was parked under telephone wires where bird dropping covered it. The car was left unlocked for the two weeks they had my vehicle. And after I picked it up the problem is still not fixed. They said, “bring it back.” But I’m learning the way a few business work around these parts. They tell you they’ll fix it when what they really mean is sure bring it by and we will find another problem for you to pay for with your other arm and leg you have left. I am not happy with their services or their work. I don’t trust my car to be put back in their hands again. And lastly, they forgot to give me back the lock for the car rims. Smh. I just don’t feel they’re capable of good work. I’ll try some place else where I know my car has been cared for and I feel like a valued customer. I did call several times and to no avail there was no response back on your end. When I leave messages by text and vm and still don’t get a call back; that doesn’t tell me Harlan Automotive cares to make things right. I had my car inspected for the work you did not complete. Not only did you charge me for the one air shock for the one rear side, that price is for both air shocks in the rear:a set. They come as a set. Harlan automotive over charged me. And a great mechanic would have suggested to replace both rear not just the one. Instead a woman comes in and is being taken advantage of here simply be she is a woman. After your post, I called and left vm’s & text Angela and you still have not returned any of my calls. I now have to replace the front and rear air shocks because it looks as though my original work which was only done the previous year, was swapped out for broken down used parts. I will be reporting this conduct. Women BEWARE of this place. They take advantage of female consumers. Harlan automotive is NOT a reputable mechanics.
MS Mears, I'm sorry that you were dissatisfied with the service you received. We usually have a good line of communication open for our customers. I have attempted a couple of times to reach out to you via phone but have been unable to reach you concerning your issues. We attempted to cover the replacement parts under a warranty thru the shop that originally installed struts, but you denied that request. You stated that it was still not working correctly. We do have a warranty on parts and labor on the service you received and will gladly honor that if you will let us look at it. Also if the lock for your wheels is missing I can replace that as well. As far as the Key fob is concerned, if you feel like we damaged it, I will replace it for you. Feel free to reach out to us so that we can resolve these issues
