Car broke down over the weekend. We managed to get the car there on Sunday. We left the keys in the dropbox with a note. I spoke with them at approximately 7:15 am. I told them what the car was doing. I got a text at 8am saying that a technician was diagnosing the car. Shortly after I got another text to call about the estimate. I told them to fix it. The car was ready to be picked up at 10:30am. When my son went to get the car after he got out of class he paid for the repairs. The total ended up being a little over $200 cheaper than the estimate. Yes I said cheaper. I know who we will use for car repairs in the future in Murray. I highly recommend this place. Thank you, Harlan Automotive.

They have been working on my vehicles since my first car! They have performed nearly every type of service for me spread across all my vehicles over the years, including my wife’s as well. Absolutely top notch. Best shop in western Kentucky. They really stand behind their work and labor with solid warranties as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Exceeded my expectiations I purchased a 2001 F350 Diesel recently and it needed a few things done on it. I sent a punch list of several items such as door locks not working, power outlet not working, brake noise, Instrument panel not working and others. I loved how they took my list and checked the truck over for other things which is exactly what I wanted. They found and fixed a rear end axle leak I wasn't aware of as well. Funny thing after I had it back for a few days I heard the belt chirping so I called and before I could ask them about it they said, oh hey we just got your belt and tension-er in today, when can we get that on there for you. Nice! Not only did I get a lot of things fixed, but now I have someone who "knows" my vehicle and they recorded the information in there system. So now I can go back and keep it maintained without having to remember everything that has or needs to be done. Class Act. you might think because I'm related that this would be a biased review, however, some folks would never let Family work on their vehicles. I run a business and we drive all our vehicles the 50 Miles to Harlan Automotive and that's not just because he's my brother. The employees there and the work they do say more than any reviews ever do. Looking for a repair shop you can trust, this is your place. They love cars almost as much as the love people.

They do the servicing when they say they'll do it. I've always been satisfied with their work.

**DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS FOR AUTO REPAIRS** One star for this place is too many! Not only do they overcharge, but they also diagnose repairs that are unfounded. When my daughter, a student at MSU, went to pick up her car after we received the astronomical estimate, they informed her that there was a $67 charge to “look” at the brakes plus shop and hazmat fees. These charges were not disclosed upfront. When I called to address the charges, the owner rudely stated that there was no disclosure other than a sign posted somewhere in the shop. Please do yourself a favor and get your repairs done elsewhere!

"Hello Margaret, Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We strive to ensure that we are upfront and honest with our customers about the results of our diagnostic tests, the recommended repairs as a result of that diagnosis, and the costs for conducting those repairs. We will look into how we can better state that, as with most auto repair shops, we do charge a diagnostic fee to cover the cost of the time and equipment used to complete that inspection. That should have been explained to you upfront, and that is certainly a subject we will address with our team. We would welcome the opportunity to make things right with you and your daughter. Please feel free to give us a call so we can discuss this situation in more detail. "

I went in to get a security system on my car removed. Services was fast and affordable. However, I cannot give 5 starts because individuals working in the shop who are customer facing were not wearing a mask, which is a threat to customer safety.

We are so sorry that we did not meet your full satisfaction during your last visit. We are concerned about customer safety that is why we offer a touch less service (non face to face). Next time if you wish you can call us from your phone when you arrive and leave your keys in the car. When we are done we can send your invoice to your phone and you can also pay from your phone. When that is complete we will leave your keys in the car for your pick up. Just let us know if that works better for you. Thank you for allowing us to take care of your automotive needs.
