They were very friendly and got me in as soon as they could, but they over charged me. I went in to get a diagnosis on my car. For 30 minutes worth of labor and a simple oil change my bill ended up being $117. That’s ridiculous. $49 for labor and $56 for the oil change. All I wanted was to see what was wrong with my car. I would have gotten an oil change else where. They never asked if they could do the oil change! The only good thing that came out of this is instead of charging me for an hours worth of labor they charged me half.

Friendly but expensive.

I started going to Harlan Auto in the interest of supporting local businesses, Mike had also been a regular at a restaurant I worked at. Mike and his team are excellent! Straight forward on what's needed, timely, and even helped me get to and from work one day when I had to leave my car for service! When it came time to buy a used car, I took it in for minor work and they did a courtesy inspection as well, saving me time and money!

Ford Taurus got quick, accurate diagnosis and was repaired the day it arrived. Cost estimate was accurate, but price was very high. I did the same job on my van and the parts cost 1/3 what Harlan charged. It took me only about 2 hours and it was my first time.

You guys stopped an inspection due to the car being in bad condition, and saved me $250 dollars! Would definitely recommend you

My experience at Harlan Automotive was nothing but perfect. They came and got me from where the truck broke down had the vehicle towed to their shop as well as lent us a courtesy vehicle to get home. They realized my vehicle had to be on the road as quickly as possible and expedited the repairs. The very first thing the next morning by lunchtime the next day my truck was running and ready to be picked up. Very happy that Mike from Harlan Automotive picked us up himself and made sure all the details were taken care of. Thank you so much I recommend him highly.

Best and most trustworthy place to take your vehicle. Only place I use. I will make the trip to Murray just to see them and know that I will be taken care of.

Harlan Automotive is by far the best service shop I have ever trusted any car I have owned with. I am so glad I found them to take care of my Katie car (2002 Chrysler 300M). She runs perfectly with their assistance.

The staff was polite and professional, and they did well with my vehicle. The courtesy inspection was a nice touch, and the techs seemed quite competent. However, I took two stars off for the price. I learned after the fact that a quart of Lucas sells for $13 at a parts store. That's a 35% mark-up from their order price at $9 a bottle. I got charged $31 for the oil additive, and $32 for the transmission additive. That's about 2.5x retail, and it really jacked up the price. Part of this is on me for not asking the price or looking into what parts stores charge beforehand, but that's still a bit ridiculous. Live and learn, I suppose. I would still recommend the place for your vehicle maintenance, just know what you're getting into going in.
